Three ways to enjoy Ksamil

See the islets from the water, find the beach rhythm that suits you and connect the coast with nearby Butrint.

A sheltered Ksamil beach with clear turquoise water

Beaches in every shade of blue

Ksamil’s shoreline is a chain of compact coves rather than one continuous beach. Water shifts from glassy turquoise to deep Ionian blue, while views open toward the wooded islets and Corfu beyond.

Facilities and atmosphere vary from cove to cove, so walk a little before choosing your base for the day.

Out among the Ksamil Islands

The four low islets sit just offshore and give Ksamil its distinctive horizon. Kayaks, paddleboards and small boats offer a closer view without turning the outing into a long sea journey.

Check wind and local guidance before setting out, and keep clear of sensitive vegetation and nesting areas.

Clear coves

Compact beaches with bright Ionian water.

Island time

Easy paddling and boat outings close to shore.

Near Butrint

A natural pairing with Albania’s UNESCO site.

Plan beyond the busiest hours

Summer midday can be lively and crowded. Early morning offers calm water and space; late afternoon brings softer light and an easy transition into dinner by the coast.

Butrint is close enough to combine archaeology and swimming, but giving each place its own half-day makes the experience less rushed.
